Celebrate America's 250th Birthday with an inspirational patriotic concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 5th. The concert will feature our choir, handbells, and guest organist, Jones Hogsed, playing arrangements of favorite American hymn tunes. Enjoy a novelty ice-cream social after the concert. Jones Hogsed is a freelance organist for concerts and services. In 2018, he began his studies with Dr. Terry Yount (DMus) at the Conservatory of St. Andrew's in Sanford, and in high school was the two-time recipient of the Ben T. Lane Scholarship of Excellence. He has played events at Stetson University, Lutheran Towers, and the Basilica Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe, among others. Jones now studies literature and philosophy at the New College of Florida and will be studying at Oxford in the next semester.
